ImageThe past four very successful youth seminars on global and contemporary issues have proved that the young students are the best ambassadors to carry forward the global issues and ideas.

For the 5th Seminar, to be held in Jaipur, India, the topic is "Water a subject of real significance and importance in today's and tomorrow's world."

Water the Blue Gold has become much more precious than yellow gold, globally. No country has claimed to rule over water. Nature owns water and it has to be shared, managed and utilized globally. Water as a resource has been allowed to go to waste. Now it is being over exploited. Many important rivers of the world i.e. the Ganges, Nile, Indus and Colorado often run dry before reaching the ocean as a result of the dams that prevent streams and rivers from replenishing ground water. Governments all over the world are squabbling over water. Water bodies are being polluted. The need of the houristoconserveit, manageit, shareit and utilizeit successfully as a resource.

Participating students are required to prepare their own case studies on the given subject in their own region or country. The case study should focus on the various water resources available, their conservation, management, distribution and appropriate utilization. This will also include the work being done by the local, regional and government agencies in the above-mentioned areas to manage its supply and cleanliness.

The Seminar itself will require the students to participate in lectures, debates and workshops. They will also undertake field trips and cultural excursions to various places inJaipur and the areas around.

Accommodation will be provided by the India International School, Jaipur in a typical Indian ambience. The students will be taken to view the rich cultural heritage of the host city Jaipur and the areas around for which the state of Ka jasthan is globally known. This seminar will also give them a wonderful opportunity to visit some world famous monuments and sites.

Jaipur, a beautiful city of rich culture and glorious past, traditional yet modern, a city of palaces, forts garden, quaint bazaars and wonderful hospitality isone of the most historic sites in India visited by Indians, students and tourists.
