Swostishree Gurukul IB World School ->
On February 26th, the 2nd SG Inter School Futsal Tournament 2079 kicked off with great festivity. The tournament lasted for 5 days and saw the participation of 12 schools with 28 teams competing against each other. The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kiran Rai, the General Secretary of ALL Nepal Football Association.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by esteemed personalities such as Mr. Kiran Rai, General Secretary of ALL Nepal Football Association, Mr. Mohan Karki, Vice President of Nepal School Sports Federation, and the MD of Bright Future school, and Mr. Raju Shrestha, coordinator of various well-known schools. The ceremony was successfully conducted in the presence of Mr. Anil Gurung, the SG Football Ambassador and former national football team captain.
The matches were held in a highly competitive spirit, with players showcasing their skills and tactics. The tournament provided a great platform for young players to showcase their talent and develop their skills. The matches were well-attended, with a large crowd cheering on their favorite teams.
The final matches were held on the last day of the five-day event, featuring some intense and exciting gameplay.
The U-13 boys’ final match saw RIBS take on Kids Learning in a thrilling showdown. The young players gave it their all, showcasing some impressive skills on the field. In the end, RIBS emerged as the champions, securing a well-deserved victory.
The U-16 girls’ final match was equally intense, with Swostishree and Nexus battling it out for the top prize. Both teams displayed some excellent teamwork and individual talent, but it was Swostishree who emerged victorious, winning the match and the title.
In the U-16 boys’ final match, Swostishree and Nexus once again faced off in a high-octane game. The young players showed great determination and skill, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. In the end, it was Nexus International Academy who emerged as the champions, with a solid performance that saw them lift the trophy.
Swostishree Gurukul IB World School successfully concluded the 2nd SG Inter School Futsal Tournament-2079 on 3rd March. The winners and participants were awarded with prizes, medals, and certificates for their efforts and skills on the field.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Shiva Koirala, Vice-President of National Sports Council, who was invited as the Chief Guest. The event also had a list of special invitees, including Mr. Pradip Joshi, President of Nepal School Sports Federation, Mr. Dinesh Byanjankar, former national football player and ex-member of Nepal Football Association, Mr. Basu Ghimire, Chairperson of Nagarjun PABSON, Mr. Anil Gurung, former National Football Team Captain and football ambassador of the school, Mr. Sujal Shrestha, current vice-captain of the National Football Team, and Mr. Sanoj Shrestha, coordinator of Swostishree Academy.
During the event, the Chief Guest, Mr. Koirala, emphasized the importance of sports and such events in promoting the health and well-being of students. He also congratulated Swostishree Gurukul for consistently providing opportunities for the students to showcase their talents on the field.
The 2nd SG Inter School Futsal Tournament-2079 provided a platform for the students to exhibit their skills and passion for sports, and Swostishree Gurukul IB World School’s efforts were applauded for organizing such a successful event. The school has been a frontrunner in promoting sports and extracurricular activities, encouraging students to engage in holistic learning and development.
