The 6th Chapter of IISMUN ’21 was successfully conducted on 10&11 May 2021 on the virtual platform of Microsoft Teams with approximately 95 delegates and 15 members of the Executive Council with 5 of the esteemed alumni – 3 from IBDP and 2 from CBSE. There were 6 Committees in all namely,

 

GA-DISEC (Disarmament and International Security Council)

Agenda:  Militarization of the South China Sea and Resolving Disputes

 

UN-SC (United Nations- Security Council)

Agenda:  The Ongoing Crisis in Libya with Special Emphasis on its Assaults and Protests.

 

ECOFIN (Economic and Finance Affairs Committee)

Agenda: Restructuring and Future Anticipations of Economic and Financial Sector Post COVID-19

 

 (World Health Organisation)

Agenda:  Framework of Curing the Increasing Mental Health WHO Issues.

 

AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet)

Agenda:  Should the Central Government Abandon the 3 Farm Laws?

 

IP (International Press)

Each Committee had a guest speaker well known in their field of expertise. Their experiences from life were a treasure trove to the delegates. The International Press made a remarkable impact by capturing every moment with reports, photographs and caricatures. During the two days spent together, the delegates discussed, debated and finally resolved the issues raised through collaboration and understanding, keeping the global peace and harmony at the forefront, graduating from their national ideology to global ideology.

 

The experience was immense learning for the Executive Council instilling in them a new confidence and the belief that they are well equipped to bring about a change in this world. Yes, they are the future youth icons of India.
